Inorganic Biology is Insecure?

Life on Earth is based on organic biology (Carbon in the form of amino acids, sugars and nucleotides). Scottish researchers from Glasgow university has taken extreme step in research to create life out of inorganic molecule which they claim to replicate and evolve just like an organic cell.
Professor Lee Cronin said
“What we are trying to do is create self-replicating, evolving, inorganic cells that would essentially be alive. You could call it inorganic biology,” "The grand aim is to construct complex chemical cells with life-like properties that could help us understand how life emerged and also to use this approach to define a new technology based upon evolution in the material world -- a kind of inorganic living technology.
"Bacteria are essentially single-cell micro-organisms made from organic chemicals, so why can't we make micro-organisms from inorganic chemicals and allow them to evolve? "If successful this would give us some incredible insights into evolution and show that it's not just a biological process. It would also mean that we would have proven that non carbon-based life could exist and totally redefine our ideas of design."
Research on Inorganic Biology will be having numerous application especially in medicine and Evolution. But How much secure, ethical is this technology? Is it a act of going against god? Is it safe to create a life with inorganic molecules and what if it turns out as Scientific disaster?
          Tim Harper from Emerging Technologies global Advisory Council argues whether Inorganic biology is responsible or Irresponsible innovation. He quotes," Professor Cronin has just used a number of phrases, perhaps intentionally, which will trigger yet another debate about playing God, worries about what happens when they escape from the lab and take over the world, and brings up the subject of responsible versus irresponsible innovation. He says " The howls of “what if science creates a monster?” have to be balanced against the progress that science has made over the past three hundred years. He advice that we should not try such technology and it may even prove to be a scientific dead end.
         Its a novel thinking from the scientist to create life using inorganic molecules and to impart characters which has to be appreciated. But the consequences before undertaking any research should be thoroughly analysed like what Tim Harper have said so that we will not land up in trouble in the thirst to unreveal mystery in science.
